Before the match officially begins, Legado Del Fantasma attacks LA Knight on the outside, throwing him into the barricade and the steel ring steps. Ring referee Jessica Carr responds by ejecting the entire faction—Humberto, Angel, Santos Escobar, and Elektra Lopez—from ringside.
Despite nursing a hurt shoulder, LA Knight gets up to start the match. Escobar immediately goes for a big splash, but Knight dodge and rolls him up for a near fall. Escobar regains control with a flying knee and slams Knight knee-first into the chest, but Knight kicks out of the pin attempt.
Following a commercial break, the action spills to the outside where both men exchange face-first slams onto the announce table. Escobar takes charge by jumping off the barricade to hit a double knees onto Knight, who is leaned against the announce table, before rolling him back into the ring. Escobar ascends to the top rope and lands a frog splash, but Knight survives the pin.
Knight rallies back with an atomic drop, a clothesline, a jumping neckbreaker, and a side effect, though Escobar kicks out of the resulting pin. As Knight attempts his finisher, the BFT, Escobar counters with a backhand and a superkick. Escobar sets Knight up on the top turnbuckle, but Knight fights off the superplex attempt, sending Escobar crashing down. Knight then executes a springboard elbow drop from the top rope and delivers the BFT to secure the pinfall victory.
