LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura kicked off the match with early mind games before Nakamura took control, trapping Knight in the corner with throat thrusts and knee strikes. Knight quickly fought back, exploding out of the corner with a powerful clothesline, followed by a series of punches, an elbow drop, and relentless stomps. Nakamura retreated to the floor, where the two traded violent blows around the ringside area, bouncing each other off the barricade and ring apron. Back inside, Knight maintained momentum with a big boot, a front suplex onto the top rope, and a diving elbow from the middle rope. Nakamura halted the momentum with a sharp back elbow and a flurry of strikes to score a two-count.
Nakamura continued his assault by draping Knight over the top turnbuckle and driving a knee into his midsection. Knight managed to turn the tide with a hotshot onto the top rope and a execution of a DDT, yielding a two-count. After taking a kick to the chest, Knight rebounded instantly with a devastating Burning Hammer, coming remarkably close to a victory. Nakamura retaliated by forcing Knight toward the ropes, but Knight fought back and scaled the turnbuckle to set up a high-flying move. Nakamura countered by sliding under his legs, kicking Knight in the head, and executing a high-impact inverted German Superplex off the top rope, which Knight narrowly kicked out of at two.
As Nakamura lined up for his signature Kinshasa, Knight skillfully dodged it, slammed Nakamura down, and connected with a springboard diving elbow drop. Charged with energy, Knight went for the Blunt Force Trauma, but Nakamura escaped into the gap between the two rings. Knight pursued him, but Nakamura used a eye poke to regain control, hammering Knight with a reverse DDT directly onto the steel platform. With Knight badly weakened on the steel surface, Nakamura seized the moment and delivered a brutal Kinshasa to the back of the head to secure the pinfall victory.
