The match begins with both competitors trading early blows and reversals. LA Knight locks in a headlock, but Shinsuke Nakamura sends him into the ropes, leading to a standstill off a dual shoulder tackle. Knight gains the initial advantage with a swinging neckbreaker, stomps Nakamura in the corner, and attempts a running knee, but Nakamura retreats to the apron. Nakamura counters with a kick, hits a knee to the face, and controls Knight in the corner with strikes and a knee to the ribs while Knight is draped over the top rope.
Knight falls to the outside, but as he returns to the apron, he cuts off Nakamura with a clothesline that sends the latter to the arena floor. Knight follows up with a baseball slide and repeatedly slams Nakamura’s head into the announce table. After bringing the action back inside, Knight clotheslines Nakamura to the outside once more. However, Nakamura shifts the momentum on the floor by slipping out of a lift and driving Knight face-first into the ring post.

Following a commercial break, Knight lands a clothesline inside the ring, followed by a powerslam and a jumping elbow drop, but Nakamura kicks out of the pin attempt. Knight tries to hoist Nakamura into a torture rack, but Nakamura escapes and unties the second turnbuckle pad. Knight rolls him up for a near-fall, after which Nakamura strikes back and scales the ropes. Knight meets him at the top and executes a superplex, though Nakamura kicks out again. Knight then locks in a reverse Boston crab, but Nakamura reaches the bottom rope to force a break. As Knight attempts to re-apply the hold, Nakamura transitions into an armbar. Knight reverses it into a roll-up pin, but Nakamura kicks out and delivers a kick to the side of the head. Nakamura goes for the Kinshasa, but Knight dodges and attempts the BFT, which Nakamura avoids before landing a spinning back elbow.
Nakamura immediately connects with a Kinshasa and goes for the cover, but Knight barely survives by placing his foot on the bottom rope. Exploiting the ring environment, Nakamura sets Knight’s chin against the exposed turnbuckle and charges for another Kinshasa. Knight moves at the last second, causing Nakamura to crash face-first into the bare steel. Taking advantage of the damage, Knight hits the BFT and goes for the winning pinfall. Just before the three-count, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga rush the ring and attack, forcing the referee to call for the bell and end the match in a disqualification.
Winner: LA Knight by disqualification
