The match begins with LA Knight quickly taking control, countering Miz’s initial attack with right hands, a clothesline, and a series of kicks in the corner. As the action moves to the apron, Miz retaliates with kicks, rolls outside, and slams LA Knight face-first onto the apron before landing a knee to the face. Miz tries to throw LA Knight into the ropes, but LA Knight counters with a spinning neckbreaker. However, Miz quickly shifts the momentum by dumping LA Knight over the top rope to the outside and crashing him into the barricade.
Following a commercial break, LA Knight turns the tide with a back suplex, a clothesline, a Russian leg sweep, and a neckbreaker, though Miz manages to kick out of the pin attempt. Miz tries to recover with a boot to the face and ascends the top rope, but LA Knight leaps up to execute a high-impact superplex. Miz kicks out again and fights back with a kick and a DDT for a near-fall. The back-and-forth action continues as LA Knight reverses a Skull Crushing Finale attempt into an inverted DDT. Moments later, LA Knight leaps off the top rope, only for Miz to catch him and successfully hit the Skull Crushing Finale, which LA Knight barely kicks out of.
Determined to finish the match, Miz locks LA Knight into an STF, but LA Knight manages to reach the ropes to break the hold. After being pushed away, Miz lands a eye rake from the apron and goes for a rollup pin while using the ropes for leverage, but the referee catches the illegal tactic and stops the count. While Miz argues with the referee, LA Knight recovers, grabs Miz, and executes his BFT finisher. LA Knight covers Miz for the three-count to secure the victory.
