The match begins with an early rollup attempt by Zack Ryder, which LA Knight quickly kicks out of. Knight attempts to gain control with an arm bar and waist lock, but Ryder escapes and sends him tumbling out of the ring as the action cuts to a commercial break.
When the broadcast returns, Knight turns the momentum with a back body drop. Ryder attempts a suplex from the apron, but Knight blocks it and throws Ryder back inside, following up with a barrage of right hands, a clothesline, a Russian leg sweep, and a neckbreaker. Knight attempts a pin, but Ryder kicks out.
Ryder soon counters by slamming Knight face-first onto the mat, followed by a running forearm and a boot to the face in the corner. Knight kicks out of the subsequent cover and turns the tables with a reverse DDT. Mounting an attack from the ropes, Knight leaps off the turnbuckles for an elbow drop, but Ryder dodges. Knight lands on his feet only to be caught by Ryder’s signature Rough Ryder. Knight manages to kick out just in time.
In the closing moments, Ryder delivers double knees in the corner and leaps off the second rope. Knight catches him in mid-air, slamming him hard to the mat. Capitalizing immediately, Knight executes the BFT, covers Ryder, and secures the pinfall victory.
